I love your choice in fish! I was just thinking to myself that you should have a Bichir, but then I saw that you  had a couple Senegal Bichirs! great looking tank. I also have 2 Senegal Bichirs one male and one female.

thanks alot, im not sure the sex of mine, the normal color one is real wide so i take it shes female and the albino is till young yet bout still seems slim so thinking male?

female Bichirs are a little larger in general. but the best way to sex them is by looking at their anal fin. males have an enlarged anal fin and more muscular physique at the base of the anal fin. females have a smaller narrower anal fin. you will not be able to accurately sex them until they are 1-2 years old. but once they are mature it is a very obvious difference. you will see the males "cupping" their anal fin and they seem to use it as a means of steering them through the water more then females. im sure you could google it under images.
