I have had mine for about 3 years. I bought 3 of them at about and inch or 2cm long and the one I have now killed the other 2. he (not exactly sure if it's a he or she) is about 3.5-4 inches long now. I have him with an 8" senegal bichir, 3 albino cory cats, an 8" pleco, a bumble bee cat fish (not sure how big he is, all he does is hide), and some feeder gold fish that the bichir never ate. 2 of which are 3-4 inches now :-/ Everyone gets along, but the rainbow is pretty territorial and will chase the fish away from which ever cave he decides is his at the moment. he is a boss! one of my favorite fish! they are very entertaining fish.
