hey everyone, i have a 29g fish and planted tank. did a 50% water change on wednesday, and today, friday i tested Ph, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate. everything tested great but Nitrate. Let's say it's extremely high, dark orange with API test kit. my question is this, how do i get it down safely or is this high Nitrate level ok. fish and plants doing great. any suggestion or suggestions would be great. love this site.

The good news is it could be worse. Nitrate is not as nasty as nitrite or ammonia. I had this se issue with a tank a while back. I would say just keep doing substantial water changes and maybe find some fast growing plants like java moss or duckweed as they absorb nitrates faster. Also if you don't already, you can try using seachem prime with each water change. It helps detoxify those things.

u can try doing water changes w/ RODI water or rain water
