Hey guys haven't been on here in a while! Well I have 3 questions.
1: one if my fish may have ich. But I am not sure if that's what it is as I've never had ich before. (first picture) thanks :)
2: if it is ich, I have this brand of ich remover called nox-ich and after using it once a long time ago in the past I realized how much it has the ability to die things. for example I had air rubes connected to my air stones and after using it my rubes went from clear to dark blue in color and it never disappears. so my question is if I use this nox ich again will it die my artificial plants??? Considering I'm only 14 I had to spend a fortune of my money to buy them.
3: I finished my 46 gallon tank with artificial plants and some kind of brown stuff is starting to spread and after research was done I found out its probably diatoms or whatever (second pic) well even when I scrape it off it grows back and I do frequent 30% water changes (I've done about 40% in the past week) but it is still spreading and it's making my tank look like crap so the point is any help you can give me on removing it would help.

Oh and I forgot to say, ammonia measured 0, nitrate measures 15 ppm, and nitrite measured 0.

Ick will look like salt graules sprinkled on your fish. It will first appear on the fins then on the body and in the more advanced stages it will move into the gills. As it advances it will appear as almost a spider web looking thing is spreading over the fish.

Noxick does stain as does most ick medication however it is still a good product. Using it in conjunction with raising the temperature and adding salt if you have it will help your fish. If you are worried about it staining your plastic plants just take them out during the course of treatment.

As for the brown stuff I had something similar which turned out to be a form of algae. Try cleaning it all off and then cut back how long you have your light on during the day. Cut back to just 3 or 4 hrs a day if you can or even do a blackout for a couple days and see if that helps in keeping it from coming back.

Here is my video on how to treat Ick

Thanks guys helped a lot, it is ich I'm pretty sure and I think im gonna try just the salt and temp method as of now. Thanks

salt and +temp usually has good results, but antoher thing you can do is feed your fish tiny bits of garlic. or if they wont eat the garlic itself, mash it up and rub their food in the juices before feeding. Sounds weird, but it helps. Won't kill the ich living in the water, but it ill help your fish fight the fungus.
