Can you even keep jellyfish in a tank?

I have seen them before, but I have no idea if they do well or what the best way to keep them is.

yes you can keep a jellyfish tank and no i have never tried it but i imagine its difficult

you can keep them. The tv series Tanked did one for an ice bar pretty neat

You can, but I think they prefer really cold water. Also, I think that I read you have to provide looping water flow, because the jelly fish will get caught on the sides\corners of the tank.

You can though they wont last very long. They just dont do well in captivity. And after awhile its hardly worth the effort. Do a google search for Moon jellyfish as these are the only ones sold online. A biorb round tank is ideal as there is no edges for them to get cought in. You will have to modify it so the bubbles go above the water line and the current has to be gentle. No decorations should be in the tank including substraight, however a small amount of glass beads is good because there is no rough surface. A proffeaionally made 30+ gallon tank for jellies can start at 800$ and theres other diy ways of doing them yourself for less, its hard finding credible sources on how its done.

Most jellies find tank water to be ideal at room temperature, salt should be same as reef. Jellyfish food can range between phytoplankton or fish, depending on species. The filter can not be in the tank. It has to only be there to circulate the water at very low current. Somehow you have figure out a way to get the intake to suck water in with out it physically in the tank.

from what i know jelly fish must be kept in a tank with no angles meaning it need sto be round . If not kept in one i think they will beat themselves to death in the corners.
