Ok so i have a question about two different lotus's first is a tige lotus i got about a week ago now. It had two petals on it that have died and rotted the second one just today. I havent seen any new growth on it so i was wondering how long it would take for it to adjust and grow or if it died from too much nutrition. Second is a dwarf lotus bulb i have. Ive had it for two month i think and its still firm so its not showing signs of rot but it wont grow. I believe i finally saw the first form of a root frowing today but is it normal to take two months?

are u planting it?

i have my dwarf lily die with all leaves fall off and nothing on it...

I wait for like weeks for lily pad to come back but they don't reach the surface but stay very short and I have good roots coming out too.

With the bulb its just ontop of the substrate ive burried other bulbs and all they did was rot. The tiger lilly i bought already growing but im not sure if i should burry its root ball into the dirt or leave it partially exposed and let the roots grow down to the dirt. Like you would do with a sword.? Im not worried about it growing to the top of the tank though as much as it just re growing. Or in the case of my two month old bulb just growing at all.

i advise not to bury it....leave it on top like u are doing.

I got a dwarf lily about 3 weeks ago and it's tripled in size and grown 6 inches up. I planted the bulb half way and in a high light spot but I have noticed the young leaves are very fragile and fall off easily so putting it in a high flow area might not be a good idea. But you might have gotten bad bulbs.
