New to the fish world and starting off with a bang.  I randomly picked up the hobby when my wife wanted a betta fish.  I decided to take it up a notch and buy a 15 gallon tank that was on sale with a complete set.  Now, after being in the hobby for a little longer, I know how big a mistake it is to purchase almost anything from Petco.  I got hooked up with a 46 gallon bowfront from a buddy of mine who was moving and I am breeding convict cichlids.  Easy fish to breed, but to a new fish keeper it is exciting.

I use the 15g to grow plants and keep shrimp in to keep the algae down.  I got a 10g and 29g with four filters, random decor, heaters, extra filter pads and carbon, driftwood, etc about two months ago.  The 29g is my prize aquarium because that is the dirted tank with the most plants.  I have a HUGE amazon sword that is about 20 inches high, moneywort, brazilian pennywort, stargrass, dwarf sag, a few types of anubias, vesuvius sword, java fern, java moss, flame moss, water sprite, and a few others.  

I stumbled across Dustin's page on youtube looking for information and learned quite a bit.  I don't think I will ever own another tank without dirt.  There is no going back!
