Hey 'Fishtank TV'ers'!  

This is my 14 gallon Aqueon tank.  I got it as a "kit" at PetCo for $50.  Came with hood, lights, 50w submersible heater, and filter system.

I set the tank up with sand for the substrate, and used large rocks for decor with one rock being especially large and hollow for a cave feel.  I also used all silk plants seeing as how I have a Betta. (see pictures)  

I used kordon NovAqua Plus water conditioner, Microbe-Lift Special Blend complete ecosystem in a bottle, and Microbe-Lift Nite-Out 2 Nitrifying Bacteria to kick start my cycle in the tank.  (see picture of all 3) 

Once all levels (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH) were acceptable and remained stable, I added my Betta, George.  A couple of weeks later, I added the two GloFish.  Lastly a few weeks after I added the GloFish, I added 2 Serpae Tetra and 1 Ghost Shrimp.  

Everyone gets along great!

I keep the water nice and warm, usually around 78-80 degrees. I constantly check all levels in the tank with my API Master Test kit, and do a 25% water change every 20-30 days and change the filter cartridge every 30 days as well. (I never do both at the same time)
