180 Gallon Planted Tank Lighting and Stocking

Alright so I finally got a 180 gallon tank. It is 6x2x2. My question is what kind of lighting do you guys with bigger tanks (125-220ish) have for plants? Im trying to do this as cheep as I can. Im taking down a 75 and a 55 to make room for the 180, so I have 2, 48inch dual t5s that I can put on there but I doubt that will be enough? Im thinking about running 85watt cfls (about four of them) as well since Ive had good luck with them and with two 48 inch strips the middle will be overlapping so I will put the cfls towards the ends or something. Also its going to be stocked with rainbows, roselines, rasboras, kribs, and a few others but Im looking for at least one biggg fish that wont eat the smaller fish or dig up plants, do you guys know any?

p.s.-The tank will be dirted.

Comment by John Goff on June 5, 2013 at 10:56pm: Do you have a budget $ in mind for the lighting? I recently bought a Fluval P48 LED setup for one of my tanks and it is awesome. The intensity is very high and all the different spectrums are there for plant growth. Only downside is they are about 300 bucks a piece.

John- Im thinking about getting 2 two 36" strips of the Finnex ray II LED because I got a guy who I can get them for 100 bucks each brand new. But im worried about it still not being enough light? Ive never done LEDs so im still unsure.

Cole- I have a black ghost knife, Its awesome and not at all aggressive. But Ive had it for 2 years and its still only about 5/6 inches.

Zachary- Ive got 3 so far planning on getting more!
