So Im doing a dirted/substrate tank for my 20 gallon
Im planning on using 1.5-2 inch dirt. Then cap it with flourite substrate. Then maybe another cap of pool filter sand for baby tears or small rooted plants.( or did you think it will spread on the flourite>?)
Then im going to build a DIY co2 system
It will be run a 40 watt at least 5000k light
All I have right now is the tank and fixture of the light.
The plants I wanted are dwarf sag, jungle val, and maybe baby tears( idk if im ready for baby tears but ill try later )
I wanted to ask anyone for their opinion. My plan was to make this a high tech tank with the best of the best.
I think it sounds cool but do you think the "cap" over the soil may be a bit much to mix them, seems like it would eventually start to mix together. But I am no expert by any means.
Ya thanks i got it from some video on youtube and wanted to try it. But imma go without the sand for a few months and see how baby tears do if they melt or die ill try sand
