ghost shrimp or cherry shrimp?

so im thinking after most of my fish die i want to try something different and get some neon's and black neons cory cats some sort of shrimp and a couple sunburst platys ? is that a good setup for a planted tank ?

Comment by Peter on October 19, 2012 at 12:41am: well contrary to popular belief shrimp dont need salt, my colony of cherry shrimp 300+ at this point was created w/ out use of salt. also the "metal" that will for sure kill ur shrimp is copper u can dose ferts so long u dont kill them w/ copper. Alot of fish meds contain a lot of copper and thats why they usually say DONT USE WITH SHRIMP! only shrimp which needs some salt is ghost shrimp "fry"
