I am redoing my dirted tank and applying new dirt and sand. I plan on having giant hairgrass, rotala india, crypts, and moss. Will a two bulb t5 HO light fixture be enough light for this tank?

Also, buying bulbs from zoo med the 65K and a rose bulb as well. Plus might upgrade the filter. Running two HOB aquon filters one 200GPH then a 100 GPH. I am running co2 and dosing first and the florish line.

If you have any other ideas please help if possible.

Thank you,

Anchorboy

I have a 37 Gallon planted brackish F8 puffer tank with bumblebee gobies. Im using one Aqueon Plant light (reddish glow). My cryps, val, java fern, and java moss are doing awesome. I does with Seachem Flourish as needed. Its brackish so my plant selection is limited.

My 38 Gallon (soon to be replaced with my 125 gallon) is using a 36 Inch double bright Marineland LED light. I was worried because I didnt pony up and get the Plant Growth light. The blue spectrum is amazing on this light. My plants have doubled in size. Its stocked with Val, Crypt, java fern, java moss, and hairgrass. Dose it with seachem flourish as well as Excel since I dont do like actual C02. Since using the Excel I notice a dramatic change in plant growth!!

I think the T5 with plant growth bulbs should be fine. I had the Zoomed Flourish or something like that for the 38G prior to the LED and it worked however the LED is working a little better.

I'm still on fluorescent lighting in my 29gal tall. Smh. Fore ground plants are taking the punishment.
