How to dose my 2.5g planted tank?

Hi everyone!

I need assistance on when and what amount of dosage I should perform on my 3 week old 2.5g planted tank. So far I think I am definitely doing something wrong since my Anubias is developing some holes along with brown spots on a couple of its leaves. I am dosing for now Flourish Excel and Flourish Iron once a week.

It has been hard to understand the dosage since I know it has to be way less than 1ml. But how much should it be? One drop? Two drops? From both liquids?

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Comment by Peter on November 19, 2013 at 12:23pm: a drop is 0.050ml 20 drops = 1 ml so most of the times the bottles says 1ml per 10 gallons so if u have a 2.5g u have 1/4 of a 10g. So if u dose 1ml which is 20drops for a 10g and you only need 1/4 for ur tank. just divide 20 drops by 4 and u get 5 drops. 5 drops is ur dosage. but this is assuming the bottle says to dose 1ml per 10g.

Comment by Fry on November 19, 2013 at 2:13pm: holes means a lack of potassium I think, in your pics I see you have the plant roots out of the sub straight, If you have a dirted tank try planting it in the bottom plants like that with roots at the base due best in the bottom since they are root feeders. You can have them the way you do but then you get into having to dose a bunch of stuff if you want it looking good, which I avoid since it is a pain.
