Agassizi Dwarf Cichlid mating behavior?
Hey guys, I'm new to Cichlids, and have recently bought two really nice Agassizi Apistogramma dwarf Cichlids.
After a day of being in the tank, the female has been swimming up to the male, and swimming at a strange angle and sort of flicking her tail slightly. After this she swims off into this little hole in one of the rocks.
I've seen other videos on YouTube where the male then follows the female into the cave/hole, but in my tank, the male doesn't! Maybe the hole in the rock isn't big enough for him to fit in? I don't know!
My question is, should I buy a coconut shell or put a plant pot upside down in there for them to both go in, or will the female lay fertilised eggs in the hole she goes in?? It'd be great if they did breed, they're great fish!

they lay on driftwood n shells..^_^ just normal behavior like a dance for em...trying to show off..think you be ok

apistogramma breed in caves..
the cave should not fix the male...only the female can go in.

Ahh right, yeah I've recently put a little upside down terracotta pot in one of the corners, so hopefully they're breed soon!

they just seem to be enjoying eachothers company, i only have male apistos, but my male and female ram swim around and act just like that
