How large is your tank? What type of angels are they?

my tank is 6gallons and its heavily planted. the older one is a koi and the small one has three black stripes and and a red tinge to his top and bottom fins. The older one only attacks when the new one comes near her. The new on is a guy.

Ur gonna need a larger tank for the angels. And if it's heavily planted they probably don't have a lot of swim space

It not completely planted. There is still a lot of room to swim

your gonna need a larger tank when they get older some where between 36 and 55 gallon and it is better to purchess the angels at the same size

Use a tank divider for some days or leave it as such. Angel's agression cant be prevented. let them solve their issues. you'll have to wait. or...  move them to a temporary tank for some days and then swap them back. this is a tedious process since it puts ur fish under a lot of stress.

It's a new fish it's like a new kid in school people are gonna pick on him/her for the first few days it should go away but u rly do need to get a bigger tank atleast a 29 gal I hve mine in there and there great :)

 How do you know the sex of  these angelfish when they are so small ?

Angels are impossible to sex at any age, if your looking to breed them you should purchase about 6 - 8 juveniles and let them pair off. Then here's hoping you catch them in the act of spawing so you can tell which one is the female and which is the male

Hi Joni - Thanks for the input- Good advice- I also agree that 6 gal is waaaaay to small for keeping angelfish.(see orig question start of thread)
