step one; put them in the tank.

step two; wait about three weeks.

step four; remove the fry before they get eaten.

As Jeremy m pointed out, its very easy to breed platies. You only have to make sure you

have a male and a female and the rest will follow through. Normally, you would ideally want 2 females for each male, as males tend to stress females and this way the stress is even out and not on a sole fish.

you dont have to do nothing just make sure you keep your tank healthy females give birth every 22-32 days
