I don't get how one plant can be better than another. It's entirely up to the eye of the beholder. But I digress. Dwarf sag for lower light setups and HC for higher light setups. Dwarf sag will grow out of control and be a total pain in higher light, trust me. In lower light HC will turn into a very lovely brown carpet circa 1973.

Wendttii grows as big as a softball and riccia has to be tied down. Neither will make a carpet of anything.

Ech. Tenellus is a good carpet plant, but Kevin's reply concerning dwarf sag and HC are accurate. Dwarf HC, as opposed to regular HC, is a favorite among aquascaping professionals because it incredibly beautiful. But, even more than its regular counterpart, it needs intense light and nutrients.

Just to clarify- I know that these two plants are entirely different, each have their own high and low points, and it's nearly pointless to argue over the two. No need to comment saying how silly an idea this is, i'm well aware of it already. Just state your opinion.
