Looks like a German Ram.

Looks pretty similar! Thank you!

Yeah def looks like a juvenile german ram. Did you buy this fish? Cause german rams are pretty hard fish to keep. You should def do some research if you want to keep it long term. They are beautiful fish and I would love to keep them but the 2 I bought were dead within 4 days.

really? honestly ive had mine for about a month and no problems yet. The reason I asked is because when i bought them (i got 2) they weren't labeled and no one knew what they were but I loved them and couldn't help myself.

Yea deff looks like a German ram to me. I have 2, not top hard to keep just make sure they have good food and keep up with weekly water changes
They do well in planted tanks. Mines is heavily, planted 20 tall

looks just like a bolivian ram i have

Looks like a juvenile German Blue Ram or something very closely related. This is popular fish these days - very much in vogue. They love lots of plants (for privacy) and very clean water - that means lots of water changes. They also like their water on the soft/acidic side but its not critical. If you feed them live food they'll breed. You can try blackworms, small earthworms, bloodworms, mosquito larvae, brine shrimp - anything live.

This is one fish that pet stores will actually pay you $$$ for any babies you bring in - as long as they're not too small.

There are a few people on this site breeding them including myself. Dustin tried to breed a more difficult, closely related species but decided to hand them over to a friend who's an expert at breeding difficult fish.

Thank you for the information Robert. It helps a lot. I have been keeping up on water changes at least once a week. and they seem to be doing just fine. They are my favorite fish in the tank so far.

This is not a German blue ram as it is to lite in color and slilty bigger then a german it is a Bolivian ram looks similar to the blue but less color and a little bigger

I've got a Blue German Ram in my tank and it looks close but not spot on.  Definitely in the same family.
