okay i resently set up a 55 and i moved my four rainbows ( 2 terquoise, and 2 boesemani, 1 male and 1 female of each) well i moved the boesmemani pair first as to not rush the tank, and after about a week i moved the terquoise (just about 4 days ago) the pair has been hiding in the corner on the tank under the outlet for the filter and when ever they wounder out mainly the female the male boesemani chases them back to the corner ,,,,, also not sure if it is a true boesemani the blue in the front has quite alot of orange. now the thing is in the tank they where in with my neons they did fine for the most part there colors are better in the 55 then in the 40. So im not sure what i need to do to get them to get along it a bit difficult to get rainbows at my lfs for the boesemani i had to drive two hours out of town, and the terquoise i lucked out on at on of my lfs. Gonna see if they calm down if i get some more fish in there .. not bows due to hard to get for me, also they are all still fairly small and young and the male terquoise is bigger then the boesemani so im not sure why he is the one hiding .... ill try and get some pics tomorrow

I would say try adding a couple more females since rainbows like to school and having more females would basically distract them from the other rainbow their bullying.

im going to try and find some in my town today. wish me luck

okay well i got 3 albino corys from the fish store i usually go to and they all three died days about from eachother ..................... i have had this problem with fish from said store before and i know its not stress or adding to quick i let them aclimate for over an hour and stress wise was as minamal as could be they seemed healthy they swam ate and all that yet still died well i moved my neons from the old tank to the new one and that solved the problem with my rainbows guess they missed there little buddies also redid old tank moved plants driftwood and let the tank run for a few days with mature media and gravel and dirt and i added a big sword in the back corner and made tons of swimming room and added some american flag fish i did not know about these fish before i got them today made and educated guess on how they acted they schooled together and seemed good and so i got them added them to tank (them being 6) they seem happy and only time will tell i got them at a different lfs then i normally go to after losing quite a bit of money on die offs
