So I recently bought a trio of packaged Nymphea bulbs. I was wondering if you guys know how to grow them and the lighting, substrate, etc.

Ok, so this is my third batch of these cause all the other ones got moldy, made my tank turn yellow and stink. I finally got one of these to grow, I have sand and I put the bulb half in the sand. But you can let them stay on top of the substrate, they grow pretty slow at first then pick up a little. I use a t8 daytime light that is on a 8hr timer. No ferts, just plain ol' fish poop ha ha.... I think I got lucky with this cause like I said three times before sucked! You might be better getting a grown one from your local fish store. But, theres no fun in that! ha ha.... Oh yea, I cut the adding of aquarium salt too, hope it helps. If your doing good you should see red stems coming out, they look like dead but its not. Time and Patience is a must.....
Sorry I didn't thank you earlier, been real busy. Thanks so much!! I've gotten one in a pack of onion bulbs an aponogeton bulbs, but only the aponos sprouted. But as I said, I recently got a 3 pack, and already 2 sprouted!! It's great news that they do well in lowish lighting, and that's what I have, for now at least since in a few months I will update to a double t5ho 31watt bulbs and 2 23watt bulbs for a 36 bow, 20in tall.
