I came here to specifically ask this- I'd like to know if anyone has any first hand knowledge as to whether or not this would be a safe combination?

I have discus in my 55g dirted tank but my tanks been going for almost a year so my tank is pretty stable and also I have tons of plants in my tank so the plants. I just recently got discus and their doing fine. Healthy appetite haven't lost 1 so far. So I would say discus in dirted tanks is ok

i have 3 yellow melons and two pegiun bloods in my 44 the pengiun bloods are quite a nice size and all of them seem fine my tank has been set up for around 7 months do to a complete requape and they are just fine  super happy and great appitiate and my water isnt in the 80 all the time since cold weather hit they so happy they let me pet them with my hand so yeah just have lots of plants and they will be fine i fopund a big sword is good they like to hide in it from time to time
