Different filter options for planed tanks- BEST & WORST

Hey guys(and girls) wondering about filter options maybe seeing if there is something new or different i could try. Im personally a submersible guy simply for the quiet and it gives me options as far as water movement. Just trying to get some outside opinions maybe avoid trying something stupid and wasting time or money!

picking up and dirt cheap 75 in a couple weeks and the guy has those noisy old bio-wheels with it so definitely going to have to do something about filtration anyway. ill let you know how it goes Thanks!

I have an Aquatop canister filter and love it. Ive been using it for over a year haven't had the first problem.

I like Fluval canisters.... Very Quiet.. maybe costs more than other filters but my water is clean and there is no noise and no priming and easy to take apart and clean.... secretly I dont clean it.

Aqua Clear hang in the back or any kind of Fluval is nice

Wow... you have got a lot of posts after that... Never the less, I will give you my own opinion... As far as submersible, I hope you don't mean a gravel filter. That won't work because if you have a good substrate for you plants it will clog the filter. Second of all that will uproot the plants. If I were you, I would get a canister filter, because it takes care of the film that gathers on the tops of your aquarium leaves, which clogs the "pores" of your plant and also prevents light from reaching the plant. It also takes care of you mechanical filtration, reducing the need for water changes. I know money is an issue, it's the same thing with me, not to mention I'm only 16... What I have learned with aquarium keeping (which also applies to a lot of things in life) it's better to wait to spend more money on something than buy something cheaper and have it not work, not fulfill it's purpose, or do the job right. Don't always try to find the cheapest way, you might end up regretting it. Especially in this hobby, always do your research! (:
