Bulkhead cover

hey fish tank people today i was thinking that i would make a vertical stand for my two planted 10 gallons, i thought i could put bulkheads on both and get a sump. the only problem i could see is my Red cherry shrimp and snails getting in to the bulkhead and clogging it or getting killed any ideas would help.

Make a DIY overflow and put some mesh on top.  It's cheap and easy.  Go on youtube and look them up.

I built one for my 10 gallon.  And it works nicely.  It will probably cost $20 or $40 for 2 of them.
