Anyone have any suggestions for small to medium sized fish that can help take care of small snails that are nibbling on my plants?

any type of loach ,  clown or yoyo or w/e   u can try gettin  some assassin snails or if u want just cut a cucumber in half the long way. weigh it down w/ something in ur tank and at night snails will get all over it and in the morning u can take it out and it will be covered w/ snails and just trow it away. repeat till the population is under control

That's wonderful advice! Thanks. I'm going to give the cucumber idea a shot.

botia histrionica or burmese loaches do a great job in my tank, although they may not be a good choice if you keep slow moving or timid fish as they are very active. i believe they reach a max size of around 5 inches compaired to 12 inches that the clowns may reach.

great, thanks!
