I would clean off anything on the surface and soak in clean water a few times. My only concern would be bacteria/parasites that would need more aggressive means of removal. To get rid of them would probably kill the plant too. If they are from a clean source I'd be less worried.

What I did for a few lillies is take them home and dip them in h202 and clean tap water, then onto the tank
