Why does my my Fluval 406 canister keep loosing prime?
Thing is not even a yr. old and now everytime I clean filter it rattles like crazy. Thinking it was sucking air I moved the intake away from bubbler.
Same results. Have taken hoses off and scrubbed and reinstalled - same result. Really getting sick of this thing right now and no good link on google for t/s?

I had this problem before but I don't remember exactly what caused it, just that it is an easy fix once you know how.
I think the problem was either that the gasket was not fit correctly or that the lid was not fit correctly. Also make sure that the lever is all the way down.

Mine started doing it too.. i found the impellar seal wasn't completely clicked in
