What kind of lighting do you have? I'm guessing by stones you mean you have gravel as a substrate or actual physical stones? I've seen both so that's why I'm asking. Some people have successfully grown Amazon swords without dirt (they're bottom/root feeders) and they've used gravel and root tabs.

I have gravel as a substrate as for the light let me look glo power 20 w T8 is that what I need any hepl would be great I put the Amazon sword in on Monday and the color is lighter than it was should I worry about that or is it going to die I dont have a cam to post a pic mine is down right now as soon as I get it going Ill post some pic of what I have see I want to try plants here befor I set up my 55 gal

If you have another tank to hold your fish in, I would dirt the tank.  I have a 29 gallon that is just gravel (first planted tank).  The plants have done OK with root tabs, but they are not growing quickly.  Part of this is that I have very low light.

 

I set up a 16 gallon dirt tank, very low light,and the plants are doing great in this tank. 

 

If you have sensitive fish, I would keep them in another tank until you get the dirt tank up and running/cycled.

thanks for the info I may have to just put them back in the 10 gal and dirt the tank Im just not sure how it going to work out I do not want a muddy water tank but I do want to get rid of my fake plants and have some nice green live plants in my tank

If you put a good cap of gravel over the dirt, your water will not be muddy.

what Ill do is take the gravel I have in the tank now and just put it back over the dirt how long should I let it sit to put the fish back in I do not want any fish to die due to the dirt set up it all new to me Im also new to the fish world as it is this is my first tank and it been up about 60 days that from the 10 gal to my 20 long I have now and Im going to set up a 55 gal soon I have the tank just not sure what fish I want in it

Some people on here put fish in right away.  You have to REALLY be on top of your water changes(daily) to do that.  In my opinion it stresses the fish.  If you have another tank that you can put them in, I would.  If you can use the filter from your existing tank, that will speed up the cycling process.
