I've got a rubbernose pleco and he does pretty good work. Doesn't come out much, but I can see he is working. Also have Tiger Nerite snail. He does a great job on all kinds of algae, but he's a little slow. You could get 5-10 and they would do a good job. Plus they won't reproduce in fresh water.

Floating plants like Duckweed. Put them in the water and watch the algae disappear. After that all you have to do is get rid of the Duckweed!

Ya I might order some duckweed
Ya I'm going to try to get my hands on a couple of be trite snails how long do they live?

Green Nerite Snails (Pond Snails).

How long do they live would i need to keep on stocking them every year?

Yeah that's what I've found online. They live about a year or so. And since you have no way to tell how old they are when you buy them, it's just a crap shoot. Also I have found online that they are good escape artists, although mine has stayed in the tank. Here's a link as a testament to how well they eat algae
