Well, I have a fluval spec v 5 gallon aquarium, I was going to use this for a cherry shrimp tank as due to it's size it's not suitable for fish except for a betta, I took out the LED light, as it's not really good for plant growth apparently. So what I did was bought two lamps that are rated for a 40W light bulb, and put two 40Watt light bulbs in (I'll include pictures and how it's set up) I'm curious as to if this alone will be good for growing plants? I've has success growing an amazon sword in a 1.5 gallon cube with these lights. Anyways, to the real point; I plan on having these plants in the tank, Eleocharis SP/Taxiphyllum sp/vallisneria nana/eleocharis parvula/anubias nana/and bacopa australis. Will these plants be able to do well in a tank with no Co2? as Co2 is bad for shrimp apparently. I'm insanely ignorant on plant care and lighting as well as anything to do with Co2. I'm using caribsea Super naturals premium aquarium substrate sand (black) and some regular ol' gravel.
