Marineland Penguin Power Filter
The filter I am using now is a Marineland Penguin Bio Filter. It does 200gph and I use it for my 20 long.
Did I over do it on my aquarium?

no u want ur filter to turn ur water over 10x an hour and thats about wat u have there.

if its a planted tank you don't need that much you could get away with a smaller one, use it for a bigger tank, I just got the same filter as an add on with a 10 gallon, for 20$
