Has anyone ever moved a filled tank from room to room? I am going to move a 29g tank I have outside with about 5-6lbs of dirt, 20lbs of rock plants and wood totaling maybe 3lbs and with what I can get out about a gallon of water or so so that's about 10lbs.its a new tank but I am afraid of the bottom blowin out on the move. It has to go from its Stand to my truck tailgate while I bring the stand inside then from the truck through my carport to te laundry room then my kitchen then dinning room then a small hall to its final resting spot. Total 300' max. What is the best way moving it without completly tearing down or risking the bottom blowing out

you must take out the water. id say get the water down to about 2 or 3 inches left and you can still keep all your decor in the tank... its still gona be heavy but your bottom should hold it. At least take out the heaviest thing, which would be the water. you can add it back in when your done
I agree with Connor; Take out as much water you can possible take out of this tank. If your going to move the tank from one room to another why not try using a dolly with a flat surface.

take out all the water and decor (rock)...

as for the substrate..leave it in there...i move a tank full of dirt and sand outside with the help of two person job....

yea, the dolly is a great idea if you have one at your disposal
