otocinclus catfish is my fish of choice. You could also use chinese algae eaters, but they do get bigger and can actually become aggressive, sucking to the side of other fish and ripping off scales. 

Edit: wow, I just realized you posted this like at least 3 times and it been answered in one of the other ones. so nevermind i guess.

hey yeah my computer or this site glitched when posting this so it somehow ended up on there 3 times. Not really sure what happened... but thanks for the input! I ended up with the bristle nose pleco for now but will store the advice for future reference!

the albino bristle nose pleco is your best bet if u want a small pleco. they only get 3-5  inches. they do a great job of eating algae. its the smallest pleco i can think of...........

farlowellas are nice they get kinda long but their shaped like sticks and are very gently and dont produce as much waste as a pleco

I just got a rubber lip pleco. Came home and googled them and it says they remain smaller and don't harm plants if well fed. Good news as I can't find any Albino bristle nosed plecos around here and the algae was getting out of control.
