Missing fish

I am trying to set up a north american domestic tank, but i still have some goldish and i had two big rosey reds(about 3"). The only predators i have in the tank are a 4" bluegill and a 2" craw fish, neither of which are big enough to eat the other fish, yet one of my rosy reds has vanished. I obvioulsy checked behind the filter and under some rocks, but it is no where to be found. Any ideas on where this thing could be?

When that happened to me they were sucked up the filter intake tube.  I had to take it apart to find them,  they were pretty smashed in the wheel :( 

One of them was a BIG SAE.   didn't think he'd get sucked up but he did.

My tank is only 10g so i use a tetra 10i internal filter, and it has a little grate where the water is sucked in so there is no chance of it being in the filter. I did some more detective work around the tank, still nowhere to be found.
