Potassium Silicate

Posted on April 15, 2014 at 6:14pm 2 Comments

Is it okay to add or use potassium silicate 34% in my planted tank with Flora Max substrate and co2

When do I use co2 in planted fish tank ?

Posted on April 15, 2014 at 12:14pm 2 Comments

I've purchased a co2 d501 generator kit using citric acid and baking soda. When I first added it to my 55 gallon planted fish tank it bothered the fish until I adjusted the bubble flow and turned on the air stones. The fish are doing great now. I've went online reading different reviews about when to use the co2 day or night, can anyone that use's co2 tell me when is the best time co2 should be applied inside the tank.
