I have a couple of nice Angel Fish in my 65gal aquarium that have laid eggs about seven times & each time they have ate all the eggs. On March 6th thought I would give them a hand - I removed the Amazon Sword leaf that they used and put it in a breeder tank with no other fish in it . Only about 20 eggs hatched and are 11 days old now. I was feeding them frozen bbs for the last few days , not sure if they are eating much of it ??? Today I went out to my local pet shop & bought a special food called "First Bites" and will be giving it a try . *** If anyone out there has any good advice for me on feeding / raising the young angels it would be very much appreciated !!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOrJjcgIJqAiated
I've fooled around with different artificial foods with mixed success, but now the only food I feed my babies is live baby brine shrimp. Nothing comes close to it.
About the Angels... I don't know what it is about the number "7" but after about 7 tries cichlids usually stop eating their eggs. I don't know why this is. Maybe its just my experience.
