While in the Caribbean I picked up a couple pieces of coral and was thinking what do I have to do to them before I put them in my tank.  Anyone know if I can do this?  Thanks.

Are these pieces of live coral? or just dead skeletons?

Can you even collect corals somewhere in the Caribbean for ornamental use? Sounds really illegal.

How could that be illegal?  It was just there on the shore next to hundreds of sea shells.

So you mean dead calcified skeleton, you should be more specific in the future. :) Collecting live coral is very much against the law most places.
