Any ideas on how to keep my nitrate levels lower?  The only thing I have been doing is large water changes, 60 gallons each week in a 90 gallon tank. Any filter accessories out there to help?  The tank has a forest of plants, 12 or so larger fish with  6 neons and a half dozen  baby fish in the last week.  All my chemistry is great except the nitrate levels.  Thanks.

I read somewhere that duckweed, for all its faults, is very good at absorbing excess nitrates. Can anyone else verify that?  Also, I assume you've checked your tap water and the nitrates are being produced within your aquarium?
