Any ideas on how to keep my nitrate levels lower?  The only thing I have been doing is large water changes, 60 gallons each week in a 90 gallon tank. Any filter accessories out there to help?  The tank has a forest of plants, 12 or so larger fish with  6 neons and a half dozen  baby fish in the last week.  All my chemistry is great except the nitrate levels.  Thanks.

I have a Marineland c530 canister filter that is sucking up the small fish, neons, to the intake and killing them.  Any ideas on how to put something over the intake to lessen the intake pressure by increasing the size of the intake?

I have a c530 Marineland canister filter and have been using it for about 6 months, I was thinking of checking it out as to see how dirty it is and replace the carbon and the polishing filter media this week.  Any suggestions on what to use to improve the filter?  I have seen on you tube several additional items.  Anyone out there have and ideas?  Thanks.

I have a 90 gallon aquarium that is having a problem with nitrates.  The other chemistry, ammonia, nitrites, etc are very good.  But my nitrates are sometime higher than I want.  Anyone know what to buy and where to buy it to help me keep those nitrates lower?  I am using a marineland  c530 along with a HOB Tetra filter, a UV and a home made bio filter.  Some suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Any suggestions on a good algae eater?  I have those little algae balls on my plants, they are attached pretty well, I could not just pull them off.  I did a cleaning and a water change today, not sure how to get rid of it.  I was hoping a UV filter might help, it cleared up the water perfectly, but had no effect on the algae.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Help, I have quite a few small ball like algae growing in my plants and rocks.  What is going on?  They are stuck pretty well on them.  Any ideas on how to get rid of it and keep it away? 

What causes the tips of my plants to turn brown?  Nearly all of them have the very tips  turning brown for about a quarter of an inch.  Any suggestions?

I am experiencing the big birth in my tank.  Mollies and guppies are trying to out do each other.  I am thinking of disolving a couple of birth control pills into the water.  What do I do with 25 or so babies?
