Just purchased an Odyssea T5 HO Deluxe 36" (6500K)

Based on my calculation Ill be between 25 to 33 L/in^2 which is high to very high light range.

The reason for the large range in the luminosity is due to me not knowing the characteristics of the reflectors. I do know that they're not parabolic, or V shaped. They're simply bulbs in a box reflector and bulbs placed close together. Assuming the worst, Ill still be in a high light saturation. Ill finally be able to put my high light demanding plants in my main tank.

Also since I have pressure CO2 in my tank as of a lil over a month ago, I should be great with combating algae if it appears with the addition of the new intense lighting.

Lets hope all goes well once i get my lights in 1 week.

Comment by LED on March 8, 2013 at 3:41am: 1 plug, fans, better placement of moonlights, single controller with no need for my mechanical timer. not having to use multiple timers for the 3 plugs for my power compact Coralife fixture. also better output from t5HO in the form of Lumens/watt than my coralife fixture. better height from the legs of the deluxe as opposed to the cheaper version with wire legs.... need i go on lol

I got an odyessa dual light 6500k 18w on the 20gal and I love it.your not gonna be disappointed.but only thing with those if you got the expandle brackets is you have to flip the brackets to fit,they put them on upside down. But so far I love them.your plants are gonna love you.
