Ok, so i've had my tank for about 1 month or two, and after i got my plants in, and started surfing the web for answers to my many questions, i realized that i was getting NO algae!!!!!!!!!  so i got really worried and went to the pet store, and i got some tetra pellets, and i figured it would help because with my corys and plecos, it would give them algae to feed on, but its been weeks and ive been putting a whole bunch of pellets, but no algae has been growing!!!. a few days a go i noticed some clear algae growing on my drift wood. but thats it!!!  HELP!! please !! AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG?? please comment!

I like to think that if there is no algae and the plants are doing well than you are doing something right. In all of my tanks with plecos I have little to no algae - maybe a couple spots of green spot algae but thats it! I always supplement their diet with algae wafers, pellets and veggies. They do a good job of cleaning it up before I notice it! Just continue feeding them their pellets, being careful not to overfeed!

piss in your tank! and put it in the closest southern facing window in your house.

no.  and how do you make the veggies drown, for example cucomber or zuchini! mine float!!  :(  and my betta doesnt seem to like it when i put in veggies..

I stab them with a fork and place them on the bottom of the tank. I can see why your betta wouldn't like random veggies floating around at the surface.
