Hey guys, I want a puffer, and I'm wondering if anyone here has kept one. It

obviously would have to be a freshwater species, but I also want to know if there is a

certain species which I can get that does well with other fish AND plants. Also I know

that puffers require a diet of snails to keep their teeth down, but do some species

require this more than others?

Let me know if you guys know anything at all about puffers,

Puffers are usually aggressive towards other species of fish, you may, however, be able to keep tiger barbs with them.

A species of freshwater puffer that I am familiar with is the dwarf puffer or pea puffer, they are a little bit bigger than a pea.

You would definitely need to keep hard to kill plants. You could keep java moss and java ferns as well as anubias.

hey there bud pea puffers are the best! filled with personality, all you have to do is keep it heavily planted with the plants listed from Zach, also they eat living things like krill, blood worms and the ever so lasting snails and ghost shrimp!
