I have a 90 gallon tank with a bunch of fresh water fish.  They have been kicking off at about one a day lately.  Did a water change Sunday, my chemistry is great, no ammonia, nitrites or nitrates of any amounts dangerous to fish.  Then someone reminded me about salt,  I had forgotten about adding some when I set the tank up 6 months ago.  I have a marineland c530, a HOB tetra, a UV filter and a home made biological filter running off a power head.  The water is crystal clear and the temp is 81.  How much salt do I need for a 90 gallon tank.  Or does anyone have any suggestions?  It is also a planted tank, little algae.  Help.

Don't add salt. What fish do u have that ur running ur tank at 81f (discus temps) ? Are they eating? Did u test ur water before the waterchange or did u test after u did waterchange?

I have neons, blue goromis, some mollies, large yellow algae eater, a platy some snails.  I tested the water before and after.  The tank was 80.1 tonight.

Only neons should be around those temps. Try to keep it between 72-78f higher temps speed up the metabolism and life cycles of fish soo they tend to die faster wen kept at higher temps then they are accustomed too
