those are all good choices but put the shark absolute last once everyone else is established or else he will run the tank! small gravel should be suitable corys will kick up sand

A 20 gal tanks looks great with a large school of cardinals!

Agree with Dr. Wilson! All fish selection sounds good, but do put that raimbow shark for last.

as far as hiding places every tank should have hiding places your cories and kuhli loaches will feel more comfortable. corys and the kuhlis are a lot more live with at least 5 of there own kind, u can probably build up to having this many over the tanks life time. the rainbow shark can be be bossy maybe if you planning a bigger tank with bigger fish that can handle him would be better. the other fish will do great together all small and very peaceful. read up on the bristlenose as far as feeding them I have fed mine an assortment of veggies as well as algae wafers. I fed zucchini cucumbers, broccoli, spinach. blanch in the microwave in a bowl with a little water in it and then use a weight to sink it and they will love the treat. I use skewers with plastic tubing to cover the pointy end people have also used forks. I fed about twice a week. as much as they wanted

20 gallons are perfect for small schooling fish but i wouldent have corycats, tetras or any community fish with a semi aggresive fish like the rainbow shark
