Baby Angels LOVE nutritious brine shrimp naupili, and all you need is an airstone and salt. Too bad this is an issue. Grindal worms are another possibility, but if you can't do any live food, get a good flake food and grind it between your fingers. After about 3-4 weeks the babies will be big enough for conventional fare. My 4 week-old bettas are eating live blackworms that are twice their length.   

The bettas were tiny when they were born - about half the size of baby angels - and I didn't even bother feeding them. I just let let move around in my heavily planted 180 gallon tank like they would in nature and their bellies were always full. Baby fish eat things we can't see. You'd be surprised at how many living things exist in a drop of aquarium water. And adding plants and sunlight really gets this microscopic world going.

I'm guessing you hate green water and/or algae on your glass but these things, along with plants, provide a great medium for the types of things baby fish eat. I always try to keep one side of my aquarium covered with algae - a side panel facing the sun or receiving the most light. (Maybe once a month I have to scrape algae off the viewing pane, but this only takes about 1 minute). Could you set aside a 10 gallon "green" tank for the baby's first few weeks of life?

Here's the bottom line: if your babies die it will almost certainly not be from starvation. I don't even think this is possible. Consider too that a certain percentage die no matter what precautions you take. This is what happens in nature and is why fish have so many babies. I would just be happy your angels are breeding and try to follow some common sense steps like providing them with a clean environment with lots of plants to hide behind.

Hey thx and I tried to hatch brine shrimp but they never hatch I spent so much money on trying to hatch them im pretty sure it's because I dnt keep the water heated but how would I keep warm if it's in a bottle??

The  temperature in the bottle will reach the same temperature as the room. Just give it a few hours. If its cold in the room I suppose that could be a problem - or at least take a long time to for the eggs to hatch. Also make sure there is no chlorine or chloramine in the water.

Good point about the heater. I would never attempt putting a heater in a plastic bottle either. So just make sure the container is made of glass. People make a big deal about using a rounded or concave container. If you feel strongly about the shape get an open ended goldfish bowl or cheap vase at Salvation Army. I used a 2 gallon rectangular tank when I was a kid and everything was fine. 

I'm told the San Francisco Bay Brine Shrimp eggs are the best. But I really think almost any eggs are fine.

Thx and no I rly dnt care bout the shape I got an old Betta jar thts lik two gals I'll try to hatch brine shrimp in there thx for help I'm very grateful for it :)

Hi -You say no baby brine shrimp because it's a pain to hatch them and not run out.... I  Agree !

-I have great luck feeding FROZEN BABY brine shrimp-most LFS have them.

Hello. I was just wondering if it is normal for some BBS eggs to not hatch and others do. Because mines are hatching. IDK if its still in the stage of hatching or its hatched all and that done. IDK... how would I tell if the hatching of the brine shrimp is done. Perhaps wait 30 minutes later after i see hatching?
