I use to have the fluval 405 and it did good but i heard the 406 break a lot(that is what i read and not what i know). The 405 i love for it has never failed me but if you seal it incorrectly or dont do the correct steps when cleaning it up is going to be a mess. I have heard some good stuff about eheims especially for planted tanks.

I purchased a Marineland c503 for my 90, it seems to be doing a great job, but I have only had it for a month, pretty heavy to move around but I am happy with what it does to my tank.
