I cut off a piece of the stolon that was damaged to keep the rotting from spreading. i noticed that it started again because of a small hole in the stolon. is there anything i can do to stop the process, I don't want to lose another nice piece of anubias. I read that I could plant it in emerged soil in a container and cover to keep moister in allowing the stolon to repair damage. will this work?

stolon?

rammstein...
No sir stolon was the word I meant to say. Many people say rhizome but that's incorrect because the rhizome are just about always buried on plants. The stolon runs above the ground or semi-below like runners. Since this plant dies once buried it should be know that it is a stolon and not a rhizome.
I had the same problem with one of my nana. It completely died off except for a small piece of the rhizome and one leaf but it seems to be still trying to survive.
I don't have any experience with this but remember that stolon should not be buried when submerged or emerged
I'm going to try and grow it emerged to see if it can recover.
