I hear that java fern contains a mild toxin that fish dislike. Give it a shot, its cheap and easy to grow plant!

i have recently put some java fern and anubias in and they nibble at the java fern and dont seem too like it so much, although they destroyed my anubias

The reason the silver dollars don't like java fern is because thar plant has a bad tasting chemical

i've seen madagascar lace plants with silver dollars but id go with anubis or java fern

Silver dollars are omnivorous so not much luck in finding a plant it wont eat

they dont eat java fern and mosses

Sounds like you may need to just feed them more or more often so they wont have the need to eat your plants?

i feed them daily i cant really feed them much more than that
