So due to the crazy like winter storm New England got and all the power outages, my fish were basically on life support with out heat and filtration. but luckily they toughed it out long enough that i got power back and was keeping them in a turkey pot haha. But with my real tank basically trashed from the cold and cloudy water, i just scrapped the tank and figured this was a perfect time to dirt the tank like i was planning on doing. So i had researched this before and got miracle-gro organic potting soil, used that, and them capped it off with my gravel. Then i did just as dustin said to do and planted the absolute shitt out of it haha excuse my french. i turned 3 store bought plants into about 10 different smaller ones. Now my tank is about half filled with water but is incredibly dirty and filled with sediments and what not... so now im just gona wait a couple of days for it all to settle and then add my fish back! SO SOUPED ABOUT DIRT! :)

Once your plants take hold you'll ask yourself why did I wait so long to use dirt!?
