Hello ........ three days ago I put 16 lbs of "Fluval Stratum" substrate in my 65gal aquarium and added quite a few live plants ( see photo ). I have noticed each day there are a few leaves falling off & floating in the tank ???? Don't think it is the fish that are doing it ??? Just wondered if this is normal for a few leaves to fall off after a fresh planting ???? I am running dual T5's and a DIY CO2 in this tank ........ Please reply if you can help . Thanks .
yes its normal. the plants are readjusting to your tank and will trow out new leaves fit for your tanks' parameters. also if its your stem plants are the 1s losing leaves its totally normal
only if there real plants ;) there just gettin used to your tank
Thanks for the help guys - appreciate it !!!!
yeah people always assume oh look at how cool that picture is that guys tank ALWAYS looks so cool. but the truth with planted tanks is they are in constant cycles i mean they always look good but the best part about planted tanks is that morning once every few months or whatever you look at your tank and realize everything is actually pretty perfect... then you take a picture and put it on here...haha but yeah most of the time there is those few decayed leaves or that bit of algae or that outrageously over-grown bunch of this or that.
