Yesterday I finally did it, added a DIY Co2 system. I used a 1.8L Ozarks bottle filled 3/4 full of water, 2 cups of sugar, 1/4 Teaspoon of yeast and 1/2 teaspoon of backing soda. I dialed the bps to 1 - 1.5. Instead of running a diffuser, I just plumed the Co2 to the filter. We will see how she goes. I thought I had done something wrong seems how I was not getting enough pressure in the bottle to get the Co2 into the tank. Then I realized all I needed to do was give the bottle a little…

So I went to the my LPS and picked up some supplies along with a hand full of duckweed, snails, Ghost Shrimp and four Chinese Algae eaters. My algae was getting a bit out of control so I need to add a clean up crew and a new bulb. I decided to roll with a new Aqueon 30", 3 bay led hood instead of buying a new bulb. It turns out Angel fish sure do like Duckweed!!! They nibble on…

My tank is almost complete, i have 2 harlequin rasboras, two female guppies, one male show guppy, and three baby guppies. I have two amazon swords, two java ferns, and some dwarf grass. I would like to add a cherry shrimp, does anyone have any ideas what other fish i could add to my tank that wouldn't eat my baby guppies. I was thinking maybe some cardinal tetras, or should i just wait till my babies are older? any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you :)
